1st International Conference on Lute Study in Higher Education

Pubblicato su 30 Giugno 2019 di Matteo Simone Pubblicato in Corsi, Eventi, News .

The German Lute Society (Deutsche Lautengesellschaft), in collaboration with the University of the Arts Bremen (Hochschule für Künste Bremen), is pleased to present the 1st International Conference on Lute Study in Higher Education. The purpose, with recognition of the profound developments in early music research and performance in the last decades, is to explore diverse subjects of interest to lute teachers and students through presentations and discussions. Presenters will be current and former lute teachers at institutes of higher learning around the world, as well as guest speakers with individual areas of expertise. In the interest of an open-minded, innovative approach to teaching, we hope to identify differentiated and stimulating ways of approaching the vast lute repertoire while considering both historical sources and 21st-century realities. There is no cost for participants, and auditors (including students of all levels) are welcome!
