SienAgosto is growing and going places. In 2025, over and above our regular programme of individual tuition, masterclasses, lectures, and private and public concerts, we are adding a performance of a seminal musical masterpiece, and inviting friends from both the UK and Italy to be part of it. Claudio Monteverdi’s 1610 Vespers invites comparison with the other pinnacles of western musical achievement. For those who have witnessed it live in performance either as performers or audience members, it leaves a deep and lasting impression. The participants of SienAgosto will form the heart of our performance on 28th August in Siena. We welcome the Chamber choir of RNCM in Manchester and an ensemble of virtuoso Italian instrumentalists as collaborators with us for this inspiring project.

Come negli anni scorsi, saro’ tra i docenti ; gli allievi, oltre a poter seguire le masterclass, ad avere molte opportunita’ di accompagnare allievi di canto di alto livello, e a poter suonare nei concerti in varie bellissime sedi cittadine, potranno essere coinvolti nell’allestimento del Vespro della Beata Vergine di Monteverdi, che avverra’ in collaborazione con il coro del Royal Northern College of Music di Manchester e un insieme di strumentisti italiani. E’ un’occasione davvero interessante qualunque liutista!
